Scheduled to be held from April 23 to 25 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre, the Global Higher Education Exhibition is being organised by Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE) under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education. “It is our mission to enable students to contribute effectively to society by providing an innovative learning environment that stresses intellectual discipline, creativity, problem solving and personal responsibility. GHEDEX is an ideal opportunity to emphasise that we provide students with value added higher education of international standards,” said Mahmoud Faquose, Marketing & Public Relations Manager at Majan College.“The college has been growing in leaps and bounds and we are proud of the numerous graduates gainfully employed and working across various sectors in Oman,” Faquose added. Founded in 1995, Majan College is the first private college established in the Sultanate. The college today consists of a multi-cultural academic community with more than 100 multi-ethnic staff from various countries and a student population of over 2,000. Majan offers undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Computing and Information Technology and English Language through full-time and part-time modes of study. It also offers a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), MSc in Computer Science and MSc in Organisational Leadership. The college’s commitment to the provision of quality education, enhancing standards and continuous improvement is reflected in its ranking as the number one brand in the field of private higher education in Oman 2012/2013 by the Oman Observer Survey in November 2011. GHEDEX endeavours to bring students, parents and education providers under one roof, to garner advice and information on scholarships, admission procedures and higher education opportunities. The event is being held alongside the Technology Education and Vocational Training Exhibition — TRAINEX and the Omanisation & Job Opportunities Exhibition — JOBEX. The event will give students, graduates, job seekers and those seeking education opportunities abroad, greater exposure to a vast variety of programmes and institutions.
