Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Ashraf el Sheihy underlined the close ties binding Egypt and Germany, especially in the educational and cultural sphere.
El Sheihy's remark came during his meeting with German Ambassador to Egypt Julius Georg Luy in the presence of head of the cultural and envoys affairs sector Hossam el Malahy.
The meeting took up ways of offering the necessary facilities to the German researchers at the Egyptian universities.
The ministry is about to launch a new website to overcome all the difficulties facing the researchers in Egypt and the world, he added.
The minister, meanwhile, invited the German ambassador to attend a meeting in June with the aim of promoting scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
