Higher education minister promises offering support to al-Azhar

Minister of Higher Education and Deputy Prime Minister Hossam Eissa promised that the government will give support to Al-Azhar, adding that it appreciates the role of AL-Azhar Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayyeb in serving national issues. This remark came during the meeting held between Eissa and el-Tayyeb on Monday. The meeting was also attended by Awqaf (Endowments) Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Goma and Head of AL-Azhar University Osama el-Abd.
