Kuwait is to take part in the seventh session of the Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, scheduled to kick off Thursday in the Moroccan capital.
The two-day event, organized by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), is to be held under the patronage of King Mohammad VI of Morocco at ISESCO headquarters in Rabat, with participation of ministers of higher education from member-countries of ISESCO.
The seventh session is organized in cooperation with Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Executive Training, and in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
"The Conference will examine the report of the Director General on ISESCO's efforts in the field of higher education, scientific research and technology between the 6th and 7th sessions of the Conference," ISESCO said in a statement.
The session will also discuss a report on the implementation of "Key Performance Indicators for Universities in Islamic Countries", the final report on the project "Atlas of Islamic World Science and Innovation", and a draft guiding paper "Towards Building Knowledge Economies in ISESCO Member States", according to the statement.
Participants will also examine other projects such as TAFAHUM (mutual understanding) Program on Exchange of Students, Faculty and Researchers among Universities in the Member States, in addition to a proposal for the establishment of OIC collaborative efforts in commercialization and entrepreneurship education (OIC-CECE), added ISESCO.
