The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Premier and Chairman of Higher Education Council, has approved a number of decisions taken by the Council in its 70th session. The Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Anqari said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the Council had approved a number of decisions including the establishment of a national University in Jeddah, 9 colleges and some institutes in universities; financing of scientific chairs; and annual reports of universities. Dr. Al-Anqari has expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the King for his unlimited support to higher education institutions.
