The Administration of Sheikh Zayed International Academy( SZIA) in Islamabad together with the students of all levels, organised a ceremony to mark the International Day on the successful completion of the academic session 2015-2016 of the Academy.
The annual ceremony was attended by Abdul Aziz Al Neyadi on behalf of the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates and a number of ambassadors dignitaries, parents, guests and a cosmopolitan crowd from about 19 countries gathered at this occasion .
At the outset, the national anthem of both the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan were played Wafaa Abdul Ghaffar, the principal, highlighted the academic excellence and cultural vibrancy describing them as twin features of Sheikh Zayed International Academy. She briefed the distinguished guests that the students of the Academy have brought laudable laurels in education attainment both in internal and external evaluation .
She further mentioned that they have proved to be the leaders by their achievements among other institution of the capital Islamabad. Students from 19 countries took part in many colourful stage presentations upholding various cultures of the world. They presented historical drama, folklore songs and fashions.
Later, the guests visited the stalls set up by embassies of the countries represented by the student body and the staff. This was followed by a buffet of international cuisine for all the distinguished guests The Academy was founded by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and it is currently under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister , Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development. It is one of largest educational institutes in Islamabad and holds multiple activities throughout the year.
