The Chairman of the High Preparatory Committee for the Inter-Civilisations Dialogue Conferfence Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the important role of the academic boards in public and private universities and higher educational institutions. Bahraini universities and higher educational institutions have been chosen as the main partner to assist in the preparations for the Inter-Civilsations Conference in the period 5-7 May 2014, Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad affirmed. In a press release he said that since the beginning of its preparatory meetings the High Committee believed in the considerable importance of the role and contribution of academia and alumni and their assistance to the conference, including scientific presentations from expert think tanks regarding the various themes of the conference. Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed pride in Bahrain's universities and academia who are the prime partner and supporter of the recommendations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who had invited the convening of an international congress for civilisations dialogue to be hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain which will attract academia, thinkers and religious scholars from all over the world
