The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) Professor Randa Hamada participates in the Physical Activity and Health Conference in Doha today organized by the Specialized ASPETAR Orthopedics and Sports Medical Hospital.Dr. Hamada said that the percentage of physical inertia in the region among females is 49.1% and among males is 36.4%. It is the highest rate in the world reaching up to 60% in some countries of the region, she added.The Hospital's General Manager Dr. Khalifa Al-Kawari who graduated from the AGU Medical Science College planned the conference to discuss ways and means of promoting physical activity for the sake of a better health. An elite group of international experts lectured during the conference and shed light on the significance of physical activity as a preventative treatment, the impact of inert lifestyles and community-shool crisscrossing aimed to encourage an active, healthy lifestyle.
