Bahrain University today hosted a ceremony marking the annual Woman’s day, which falls on December 1. Deputy Premier’s Bureau Chief, Supreme Council for Women (SCW) member, Bahrain Olympic Committee and Bahrain Table Tennis Association Chairperson Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al-Khalifa addressed the event being held under the slogan “Woman and Sport ..Will, Achievement and Aspirations” (BOC). She paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, for empowering Bahraini women and promoting their status. Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al-Khalifa honoured a number of Bahrain University personnel in recognition of their sport achievements. Bahrain University President Dr. Ibrahim Jenahi also honored Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al-Khalifa for patronizing the ceremony.
