President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday issued Decree No. 203 for 2011 which provides for conducting a number of amendments on the executive list of University Regulation Law issued by Decree No. 250 for 2006. The most important of those amendments are related to the examination results as they include helping students through adding a maximum of two marks for one subject, or distributed on two subjects, a mark for each, if those marks could help change the student\'s situation in terms of passing the subject exam. For those who are about to lose the chances of success at any year of the university study, six marks at maximum are to be added for one subject, or distributed on two subjects, if those marks help the student pass the year. The added marks, according to the decree, are not to be included when calculating the general average of the student. Other amendments have to do with the university admission of the sons, brothers and spouses of martyrs and students with disabilities.
