Minister of Interior General Magdy Abdel Ghafar approved the decision of the Police Academy board to accept applicants who are holders of Thanawiya Amma or Azharite high school at a minimum grade of 65 percent for the academic year 2015/2016.
At a press conference on Sunday, Assistant Interior Minister and Chief of the Police Academy Major General Amr al Asr said the academy will start receiving applications as of today and for two weeks through the Interior Ministry's website.
Applicants should have a clear criminal record and their parents should be from Egyptian origins and not foreigners
