Under the Patronage of Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education \'&\' Scientific Research, and with the support of the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), the leading global business school, INSEAD, today announced that its signature 10-month MBA programme will include a module for students to study on the school\'s Abu Dhabi campus starting in January 2013. The module will bring MBA participants to the UAE to enhance participants\' knowledge of business in the region as well as collaborate with local and multi-national organisations. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Education Council, said the new module would give participants a greater understanding of global business and culture in context of the UAE. \"Abu Dhabi is expected to become the region\'s leading education hub as per the Abu Dhabi 2030 vision, which places emphasis on business education. This module\'s introduction is in line with Abu Dhabi\'s vision to become the region\'s leading education hub and increases opportunities for Emirati nationals\". Dr. Al Khaili added, \"We are delighted that participants are offered a greater understanding of the UAE\'s culture and global business environment where students can advance their professional lives and contribute their talents in ways that support Abu Dhabi\'s socio-economic development\". Peter Zemsky, INSEAD Deputy Dean of Degree Programmes \'&\' Curriculum said, \"INSEAD is committed to developing Abu Dhabi as the innovative educational hub in the region by serving as a catalyst to bring together local government, business and education sectors.\" \"This collaboration not only provides the opportunity for MBA participants to gain an in-depth experience of conducting business in the region, but for local organisations to aid in the development of tomorrow\'s business leaders,\" he added. The comprehensive module will include classroom learning, engagement with local business leaders and regional experts, company visits, project work on real case studies, networking as well as an array of activities to provide students with insights into the region\'s history, culture and traditions. Thirty-five MBA students have been selected for the module that includes three campus visits between January and March 2013, in addition to the work participants will be involved in off-campus. Local partners for the module include Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), Masdar, Mubadala Development Company, and MBC Group. In addition to participation of local organisations, leading global companies with a significant presence in the UAE such as Booz, McKinsey \'&\' Co. and Standard Chartered Bank in addition to Ministry of Sound also collaborate with INSEAD on the module.
