Dr. Khalid Al-Sultan, Rector of KFUPM, on Monday 12 /3/ 1433 e honored the car team which is consisted of the Chairman of Mechanical Engineering Department and 12 students on their achievement of building a race car \"Wahj\" which is a solar-powered car that participated in the Veolia International race Challenge for cars of solar energy in the middle of last October, and achieving positive results, a ceremony held on this occasion and was attended by Vice Rectors and officials of the university and a large number of students at Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz Center. The team was consisted of students from the University from various science majors carried out in cooperation with a number of specialized teachers to manufacture a race car that is solar-powered under the name of \"Wahj\". After they have completed design of the entire car using the latest techniques and after their work on the selection of materials and manufacturing specification according to international standards for the chassis and suspension and steering advanced system, circuits and safety standard systems adopted internationally. The ceremonial program included a documentary film that tells the complete process of the car \"Wahj\" presented by Seraj team with details of project implementation and achievement of challenging factors of expertise, time, and their participation in the Australian international.
