Kuwait University's Engineering & Petroleum College inaugurated Monday the 17th career fair under the patronage of Undersecretary of Ministry of State for Youth Affairs Sheikha Zain Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Saud Al-Sabah.
In statements following the inauguration ceremony, Sheikh Zain said that the fair is a new youth initiative to provide their peers with job opportunities.
She added that the four-day event brings together the unemployed youth, students and representatives of private and public and Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti companies.
For his part, Dean of Engineering & Petroleum College Dr. Hussein Al-Khayat said that the goal of the fair is to unveil the available job opportunities in the private and public sectors, especially those working in the engineering and petroleum domains.
He pointed out that over 20 institutions and businesses are partaking in the event. There are also specialists to offer job guidance advices to help youth find the most suitable job for themselves, said Al-Khayat.
