Marking its 50th anniversary this year, Royal Jordanian (RJ) launched a university scholarship program through the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research\'s Department of Scholarships and Agreements. The program, signed by the ministry\'s secretary general Mustafa Al Adwan, and deputy RJ president/CEO Mohammad Mortada, includes financing 50 bachelor degree students in their studies – 15 sons and daughters of RJ staff, five of retired employees and 30 outstanding students from among the general public. Chairman of the RJ Board of Directors Nasser Lozi congratulated all the students who passed the Tawjihi General Secondary Certificate Examination this year and said \"this ambitious\" program was launched to emphasize the national carrier\'s social role and its support to education in the Kingdom by helping the underprivileged but excellent students to continue their studies.
