Khalifa University has launched a new science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) summer camp at its Abu Dhabi campus. The camp is expected to attract more than 30 grade 10 and 11 students interested in pursuing a career in engineering or the technology sector.
The summer programme aims to inspire students through challenges and competitions, hands-on activities, and discover the world of engineering.
Over the course of the week, students will explore robotics, mechanics, electronics, chemistry, programming, design, math, arts and physics as well as enter a competition to design and build their own robot.
"This camp is a wonderful opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in science and technology, especially in the exciting world of engineering," said Dr. Bayan Sharif, Dean of the College of Engineering at Khalifa University.
"The camp has also given the students an opportunity to experience life at Khalifa University and mix with their peers from across the U.A.E., and gives them an idea of what they can expect when they enter university," Dr. Sharif added.
