The University of Dubai has announced the launch of the ‘Future CEO’ programme, bringing together senior executives from diverse backgrounds and industries in a groundbreaking experiential learning programme.

Announcing the programme during its 2016 CEO Dinner event at the university’s new campus at Academic City, Dr. Eesa M. Bastaki, President of University of Dubai, urged CEOs to take inspiration from the UAE leaders, whose unique leadership style has been endorsed by people around the world for their ability to boost innovation, progress and prosperity.

The CEO Dinner was attended by more than 100 participants, including CEOs, presidents and managers.

Esme Alfred, Global Manager of CEO Institute in Australia, congratulated the University of Dubai for launching the programme and assured the full support of the CEO Institute to create the best future CEOs in the UAE.

In a keynote address, Fahem Al Nuaimi, CEO of Ankabut, UAE Advance Network for Research and Education in Abu Dhabi, stressed the need to develop and train CEOs capable of playing an effective role in the development of the country.

Ala Mikdadi, the first certified Future CEO in UAE, provided details of the Future CEO programme and explained how the unique certificate can help managers widen their professional and employment opportunities.

The University of Dubai and The CEO Institute, an Australian based institute, recently signed an MOU to provide the Future CEO programme and certify eligible candidates. The certification course is designed to create future business leaders and equip next-generation leaders with the skills, knowledge and contacts to take on challenges and manage growth.

The Future CEO programme is a unique development forum that offers executives pursuing leadership goals an integrated learning model that provides a mix of facilitated and experiential learning. The programme enables members to enhance their existing management and leadership skills to fast track their career potential.

Meanwhile, during its annual PhD dinner organised recently, the University of Dubai showcased its commitment towards providing world-class research-based education in the UAE. Focusing on the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to mark 2016 as the Year of Reading, the event highlighted the importance of research to better serve the country, supporting innovation and creativity, and developing growth opportunities in a highly competitive environment. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bastaki called for effective application of research to achieve sustainable development of the country.
