The National Council for Women (NCW) sent a medical and awareness convoy to New Valley's el Zayyat villages, in cooperation with a number of Egyptian bodies concerned.
The National Population Council along with the General Authority For Literacy And Adult Education took part in the convoy that comes as part of "They Can" campaign that aims to empower women.
NCW Chairwoman Maya Morsi attended the dispatch of the envoy which was launched under the sponsorship of New Valley Governor Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Ashmawy.
Sessions to raise awareness about population crisis, small-sized projects, illiteracy eradication and IDs importance have been held during the convoy, said NCW New Valley Rapporteur Nadia Azmy.
Meanwhile, NCW New Valley branch held a symposium on women and preserving the environment.
