Chief Executive Officer and a founder of Aksal group, Salwa Akhannouch is getting set to launch a new smart beauty and cosmetics store called Yan&One, in the Morocco Mall.
It will be ready for opening in the next few months.
Yan&One will present a futuristic place dedicated to top international makeup lines, perfumes and accessories. The project was designed to realize an ambition to revolutionize the world of beauty and cosmetics in Morocco.
3,500 square meters of the mall’s ground-floor will be devoted to the project. A digital area will contain a thousand smart screens, interactive mirrors, tablets and other digital tools featuring instant pictures and makeup tutorial videos.
Two more Yan&one smart lines will be inaugurated in Casablanca and Tangier by the end of 2017.
Inspirations for company names can be as unique as the inventors themselves. While many brands are simply named after their founders, others may have more significant meanings. In this case, Yan means One in the Berber language.
Salwa Akhannouch remains one of the most successful businesswomen in Africa. Her group Aksal holds 50 percent of the Morocco Mall in Casablanca, the biggest shopping mall in Africa.
In 2012, Salwa Akhannouch received the MIPIM Award in Cannes, in the Best Shopping Mall category for its architectural beauty.
