A total of 550 women joined Daesh group including 150 foreign women, especially from Britain, France, Austria and Netherlands, until the end of 2015, a Spanish report published by Al Azhar observatory said.
The report added that the terrorist group aims to polarize youths, children and minors to join it, an official at the observatory told Asharq Al Awsat Saudi Edition on Sunday.
The children work for the terrorist group as spies or fighters while girls work on recruiting other girls and women as well as household work and sexual exploitation.
Earlier, Azhar launched an online observatory in 10 languages in order to confront extreme ideas and terrorism sweeping the world.
