The Supreme Council for Women (SCW)'s Secretary-general Hala Al-Ansari praised the SCW's strategic partnership and cooperation with Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC).
Al-Ansari commended the transforming of the company's Equal Opportunities Unit (EOU) into a council chaired by (GPIC)’s President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawaheri, including the membership of top echelon officials in the company, the inclusion of women’s needs and implementing equal opportunities that boost the role of women as key partners in sustainable development in harmony with the vision of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council of Women to ensure the steady career progression of women in the engineering professions.
The SCW’s secretary-general expressed aspirations that GPIC will become a good example to be followed by other firms in the private sector in supporting the policies of assimilation of women’s needs and accomplishing the principle of equal opportunities.
