Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), today held a meeting with the Mayor of Kobe Kizo Hisamoto at Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster and held discussions on biomedical innovation. Her Highness then had a site visit to the Japanese Institute of Physical and Chemical Research, RIKEN, Japan’s largest comprehensive research institution. It fosters innovative programmes and interdisciplinary collaborations in a variety of pioneering projects. Her Highness met with senior executives from the RIKEN Centre for Developmental Biology (CDB), which aims to advance research in the fields of animal development and regeneration, and the RIKEN Omics Science Centre, which aims to support and accelerate advancements in life science research. The meeting concluded with the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding between QF and RIKEN, aiming to promote further collaboration and exchanges of students and researchers. Her Highness was accompanied by President of QF Research and Development (R&D) Faisal Alsuwaidi, and a delegation from the Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI) headed by the Executive Director Dr. Hilal Lashuel.
