Women get caught up in unhealthy relationships for a number of reasons. It could be a lack of confidence, self-esteem issues, a fear of ending up alone or even a genuine belief that this is “as good as it gets”. That said, we do realise that being happy and harmonious 24/7 is, well, impossible. But, finding someone who you are emotionally and physically compatible with is important – and is the basis of any healthy union. So, if you’re tired of the sickos and ready to settle down, then heed these tips for finding Mr. Right: He must be open-minded While you can’t expect him to agree with everything you say and do, you should always feel comfortable talking about your beliefs and opinions, without worrying about what he will think and/or say in ‘attack’. He must show humility If you’re after something long-term, like marriage, then look for a man who is not afraid to reveal his tender side. Go for someone who is willing to compromise and most importantly, someone who knows how to settle a disagreement and move on. He must respect you If he disregards your feelings, if he doesn’t value you as a person and/or if he constantly looks for fault or criticises you, then he is toxic. A man with these bad traits will never make you happy. He must be loyal and faithful Ask yourself these questions: Are the two of you well-suited? Does he follow through with his promises and/or commitments to you? Is he completely open and honest with you? Is he willing to fight for you? A man who is loyal and faithful, will stick by you through the good times and the bad. He is committed to the relationship and no matter how tough things may get, he will (want to) stay by your side. He must be your friend A good relationship is one that is built on a solid base of companionship, familiarity and amity. Seek a man who not only makes you smile with little effort, but someone who you can be completely comfortable with, even when you’re saying and/or doing absolutely nothing together.
