Mubadala, the Abu Dhabi-based investment and development company, will be participating at Farnborough International Airshow held in the United Kingdom between 14th and 20th July.
Four group companies within the aerospace and defence services sectors are attending the show, including Piaggio Aero, AMMROC (Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Centre), Strata Manufacturing and Sanad Aero Solutions, giving them an opportunity to create new prospects for future partnerships.
Piaggio Aero will be showcasing its state-of-the-art P.1 HH HammerHead, a multi-purpose Unmanned Aerial System designed for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, and the Avanti EVO, Piaggio Aero's new version of its iconic P.180 Avanti aircraft. The Avanti EVO is the fastest, most advanced executive/multi-utility turboprop aircraft in the world, offering the speed of a light/mid-size jet. Also presented at the Piaggio Aero's pavilion will be the Multi-Patrol Aircraft (MPA), newly designed to meet the need for a robust and high-tech solution for land, coastal, maritime and offshore security.

Piaggio Aero Industries is active in civil and ISR aircraft /unmanned aerial systems design, manufacturing, maintenance and overhaul, and also manufactures aero-engine parts, while managing repairs and engine overhauls under license. It is based in Genoa, Italy.
AMMROC (Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Centre) is a leading provider of military MRO services across the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. A joint venture between Mubadala, Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin, AMMROC offers best practice military aviation MRO services for a wide range of fixed and rotary wing aircraft. AMMROC is the primary provider of MRO services and support to the U.A.E. Air Force.
Strata Manufacturing is a composite aero-structures manufacturing facility based in Al Ain, and is wholly-owned by Mubadala. Strata works closely with its partners and clients to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions that combine leading-edge technologies, best practice manufacturing processes, and an integrated supply chain to the global aerospace manufacturers it partners with. Strata has partnerships with some of the world's leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), including Boeing, Airbus and Alenia Aermacchi, as well as tier-one suppliers FACC AG and SABCA.
Sanad Aero Solutions is an industry leader in integrated financing and leasing solutions for spare engine and aircraft components with assets that exceed US$750 million, supporting a growing portfolio of airline customers in the MENA region, Europe, Asia and North America. Launched in 2010 and headquartered in Switzerland, Sanad has offices in Zurich and Abu Dhabi.
The Farnborough International Airshow prides itself on facilitating first-class business opportunities for the global aerospace industry. As one of the world's largest exhibitions and air displays, the show provides a wealth of dedicated and focused business platforms. The 2012 event saw over 1,500 exhibiting companies, 107,000 trade and an impressive US$72 billion of confirmed orders or commitments. 70 military delegations from 46 countries and 13 civil delegations from 10 countries conducted, on average, 15 meetings per day.
