The LG curved-screen phone can be had for $300 with the standard two-year contract. AT&T subscribers hankering for a curved-display smartphone can now preorder LG's G Flex. The phone is listed on AT&T's Web site with a price tag of $300 with the usual two-year agreement. Buyers seeking other options can instead pay $26.74 or $34.75 per month via one of AT&T's Next installment plans or cough up $695 to go sans contract. Customers can either preorder online or visit one of AT&T's retail stores. AT&T will officially launch the phone for sale on Friday, February 7. The phone will also be available this quarter through Sprint and T-Mobile but not through Verizon. The G Flex competes with Samsung's Galaxy Round in the nascent flexible-screen phone market. LG's entry packs in a 2.26 GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, a 6-inch 1,280x720 display, 32GB of built-in storage, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a dose of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
