Estonian Mobile phone service provider EMT, Internet service provider Elion and parent company Eesti Telekom on Friday announced they would merge into one company in September this year.
Valdo Kalm, the current head of all three Estonian companies, said at a press conference that the three companies will combine their strengths in innovation and technology, creating a next generation IT and communications company, Estonian Public broadcasting (ERR) reported.
He added new services and products were on their way, including Internet with download speeds of up to 300 megabits per second.
The EMT and Elion trademarks will continue to be used, but the name of the company will be Eesti Telekom.
