Google says it has updated its Books app on Google Play, incorporating a read-aloud feature, a selection of zooming options and a note-taking capability. The Android app\'s Read Aloud update will read books stored on the user\'s device in a somewhat robotic-sounding voice included in the free app, SlashGear reported Wednesday. Added zooming options allow users to pinch-to-zoom or double-tap to zoom, capabilities that should be familiar to most users since they\'re already used in a number of apps, especially mobile Web browsers. Text editing is available in a note feature that will let users add remarks or reminders about books in their digital collection. All the features -- Read Aloud, zooming and notes -- will work with all books available for Android devices, Google said, so no configuration is required and it does not limit itself to any specific books.
