Turkish Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis on Wednesday said \"We are entering a period where Turkey and EU will be one click away\" with the TUROPA program established within scope of the \"Turkey-EU Joint Communication Platform.\" The TUROPA program, established by the Ministry of EU Affairs and Microsoft Turkey, was launched in a meeting in Istanbul. Bagis stated the TUROPA project would benefit both Turkey\'s EU accession process and Summer Olympic Games 2020 candidacy, and added that the project would provide societies with the opportunities to get to know each other without prejudices. \"TUROPA makes borders diminish. We are entering a period where Turkey and EU will be one click away,\" the minister said. Tamer Ozmen, Director General of Microsoft Turkey, also delivered a speech at the meeting where he said, \"This implementation marks a first in the international arena. The European part will be in effect very soon. This platform was developed as a Windows 8 application. The application will first be available in tablets and mobile phones and then will be spread to other platforms.\" TUROPA, a program compatible with all systems and devices and integrated with social media, is an exemplary model in diminishing borders in international relations. Turkey and EU citizens will be able to communicate both among themselves and also with the representatives of institutions by using TUROPA. TUROPA has taken its place for sale in Windows 8 Shop.
