Uni-O Industries Corp. of Xiamen, China, is recalling 4,530 portable gas grills due to regulators that can leak gas and ignite, U.S. regulators said. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the firm has received 10 reports of grills catching fire. The recall involves Iroda O-Grill models 1000 and 3000 that were produced before 2010. Some grills were also sold under the Tailgate Gear brand. Both grills are lightweight, portable, clamshell-type propane grills with steel bodies, cast iron cooking surfaces, retractable legs and a handle, the commission said. They were designed for use with either a 1-pound propane cylinder or a 20-pound propane tank. They were sold in orange, red, green, blue, silver and black. \"O-Grill\" is stamped on the metal grill cover. Grills with ventilation slots in the regulator cover are not subject to the recall. They were sold nationwide from November 2008 through December 2010 for between $149 and $189. Consumers were advised to stop using the grills and contact Uni-O to receive a free replacement grill. Consumers can call 888-847-8968 for information.
