Abu Dhabi\'s Dolphin Energy said yesterday the supply of gas from its Qatar plant to the UAE had been slashed to 1.8 billion cubic feet (bcf) from 2 bcf. \"Dolphin Energy today confirmed that due to a leak in one of its two sulphur recovery units, SRU1, at its processing plant, throughput to the UAE has been temporarily reduced,\" the statement said, adding that maintenance will last up to three weeks. The interruption of supply from the Ras Laffan plant started on Wednesday, the company said. The same level of supplies of 1.8 bcf will be maintained throughout the maintenance period. \"Our customers have been informed accordingly, and there is minimal disruption. Maintenance teams are rectifying the issue, which we expect will be resolved within three weeks,\" said the statement. It added that Dolphin\'s full-year production of 730 bcf is expected to be achieved, giving no further details on a timeline. The Abu Dhabi government\'s investment arm, Mubadala Development Co, holds 51 per cent of Dolphin. France\'s Total and US firm Occidental Petroleum each have a 24.5 per cent stake in Dolphin.
