The Culture and Information Department in Sharjah will organize on Sunday evening the 10th Sharjah Poetry Forum that will host various poets form GCC and Arab countries. The five-day event is sponsored by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Qassmy, a member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and current ruler of the Sharjah, and will include six poetry evenings with Dr. Mohammad Najib Al-Murad, Dr. Haider Mahmoud, poet Ibrahim Bomalha, and three literary criticism seminars on poetic text. Also, the 2nd edition of the Sharjah Award for Arabic poetry is to be granted to two pioneering poets; Dr. Najeeb Al-Murad, Syria, and Deceased poet Mohammad Khalifa bin Hader, UAE, whose poems had distinctive influence on old and new generations.
