Antiquities Minister Khaled el-Anani on Friday took part in a ceremony staged in Luxor to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Egyptian-French archaeological mission.
French Ambassador in Cairo Andre Parant also took part in the ceremony that took place at the Mummification Museum in Luxor.
An an exhibition was also organized displaying artifacts discovered by the mission during its work at the Ramesseum Temple.
Earlier, Anani paid a visit to the West Bank in Luxor to mark Luxor National Day and the 94th anniversary of the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb by British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922.
He hailed the fruitful cooperation between the Egyptian Antiquities Ministry and French archaeological missions in Egypt.
The minister was reported that 80 tourists used the unified ticket system that was activated in November to allow people to visit all Luxor landmarks
