The Antiquities Ministry refuted on Tuesday the news purported by social media and some e-newspapers on the looting of an archaeological statue from Alexandria's Antoniades Garden.
Alexandria and West Delta antiquities department Director General Mostafa Roshdy said there are no archaeological statues in Antoniades Garden; there is only an archaeological column at the entrance.
All statues in the garden have been recently sculpted, he said.
