Antiquities Minister Khaled el Anany issued directives of opening the "barn raising" area in Abydos in Sohag, almost 400 km south of the temple of King Seti I, before the visitors for the first time.
The ticket will be as part of the entry ticket of the whole archaeological area.
This came during the minister's tour of several archaeological areas in the governorate along with Sohag Governor Ayman Abdel Moneim along with a host of officials.
Head of Ancient Egyptian Antiquities at the ministry Mahmoud Afifi said that the opening of the ''barn raising'' area came due to its historical importance.
