The activities of the 23rd session of Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) wrapped up Sunday night.
The event witnessed a unique Egyptian participation with two pavilions dedicated by China on occasion of the Egyptian-Chinese cultural year and the passage of 60 years since the diplomatic relations between the two countries were established.
The Egyptian delegation, under the Head of the Egyptian General Book Authority Haitham el Haj Ali, took part in the event.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Egyptian Publishers Association Adel el Masry delivered a speech where he pointed out to the depth of Egyptian-Chinese ties in many fields especially the cultural domain.
The delegation met also with the head of the Chinese Writers Association and discussed her participation in the next session of the Cairo International Book Fair.
More than 2,000 exhibitors representing 60 countries took part in the fair which kicked off on Wednesday.
The BIBF is one of the biggest four fairs for books in the world.
