The Culture Ministry
Cairo - MENA

The Culture Ministry, represented by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces (GACP), has announced a research competition titled "Social and economic changes in the Egyptian countryside" for the year of 2016/2017.

In a statement on Monday, the GACP's public administration of rural culture said that applicants must be 18 to 50 years, adding the research should cite scientific sources and references used in it.

The research, which will be drafted in a clear Arabic language, should be presented in three copies and on a CD, the statement said.

The researches, to be presented to the GACP's public administration of rural culture, will not be returned back whether they win the competition or not, the statement made it clear.

There will be five awards: first place, 2,000 pounds; second place, 1,750 pounds, third place, 1,500 pounds, fourth place, 1,250 pounds, and fifth place, 1,000 pounds.
