The Egyptian Embassy in London retrieved on Sunday eight ancient wooden pieces of antiquities that were smuggled illegally to Britain.
The restored items date back to the year of 1243, Egypt's Ambassador to the UK Nasser Kamel said in a statement carried by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
They were put up for auction in London, he added.
Kamel noted that another ancient stone piece was retrieved
