Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa agreed with Culture Minister Abel Wahed el Nabawi to work together to counter terrorist ideologies.
Meeting together Tuesday, the two ministers also agreed to act to remove the concept of "We and They".
It is a new start between the two Ministries, said Gomaa after emerging from the meeting.
He told reporters mosques will turn into schools of ideology and culture as was the case in previous eras.
Culture Minister Nabawi hailed as "constructive" the role played by the Awqaf Ministry in fighting extremist ideologies.
He touched upon a cooperation protocol between his Ministry and the Ministry of Awqaf.
Nabawi made it clear that seven joint projects will be signed, including one to provide preachers with publications of the Culture Ministry.
