Culture Minister Dr Abdel Wahed el Nabawi has spoken highly of a theatrical show that praises the Prophet Muhammad of Islam.
The show is performed by a group of students of the Artistic Creativity Center.
It is a depiction of "Poem of the Mantle"; an ode of praise for the Islamic prophet composed by Sufi Imam el Busiri of Egypt.
The poem is famous mainly in the Sunni Muslim world. It is entirely in praise of Muhammad, who is said to have cured the poet of paralysis by appearing to him in a dream and wrapping him in a mantle or cloak.
Nabawi attended the show Tuesday night at the Opera House.
He said the show perfectly suited the spiritual features of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
Nabawi said the show should be performed everywhere in Egypt because many audience will not be able to come to Cairo to enjoy the outstanding performance.
