Nihad Mohammad Saliha, an Egyptian professor of drama and criticism at the Higher Institute of Art Criticism at Egypt's Art Academy has one a prize from the Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Science (KFAS).
Egyptian Ambassador in Kuwait Yasser Atef received the prize on behalf of Saliha Wednesday.
Saliha won the prize for her distinction in the Egyptian, Arab and international theater movement and her creativity in using postmodernism art criticism curricula.
Atef told MENA correspondent here he is happy with Saliha and was honored to receive the prize from Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmed al Jaber al Sabah.
Saliha could not make it to Kuwait due to health problems, the diplomat said.
The prize is in arts and literature, Atef said, adding that it was equally shared by Saliha and Syria's Afif Ahmad Rafiq Bahnasi.
