Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari inaugurated Saturday a camp called "DARB AL SAAI" in Al Sadd area. The camp is held as part of Qatar national day celebrations. The camp saw a large turnout on its first day. A number of traditional and cultural events focusing on the traditions and principals of Qatar's ancestors, and the role they played in building the modern-day State of Qatar were held. Participating in the events were school students who performed a traditional Qatari dance (ARDA) under the title "The People of Qatar." Participating also in the events of the camp were horsemen. "DARB AL SAAI Studio" broadcasted a number of programs regarding the heritage of Qatar. A number of Qatari personalities were present to brief on the history of Qatar.
