Iran and Afghanistan National Libraries signed a deal on Tuesday to cooperate in cultural activities. The deal was signed for Iran by the Head of Documentation Organization and National Library Eshaq Salahi and his Afghan counterpart Seyyed Makhdoum Rahin. During the signing ceremony, Salahi voiced readiness to transfer Iran’s experiences in booking, repairing, listing, archiving and information processing areas to Afghanistan. He noted that Iran possessed the biggest library in the region and was keen to provide services to scholars from countries which share the same language and culture with Iran. Rahin called on his Iranian counterpart to pave the way for a number of Afghan students to study library and information sciences in Iran.
