HE Minister of Justice Dr. Hassan bin Lahdan Al-Hassan Al-Mohannadi has inaugurated the second edition of the Qatari Legal Portal Project (Al Mezan 2), which was prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Company.
This step comes within the framework of updating the Qatari Legal Portal as a comprehensive site for all legislation in force, amended and abolished since 1961, as well as the judicial decisions issued by the Court of Cassation, which were compiled and indexed by the Technical Office of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and extracted legal principles and legal opinions issued by the Legislative Department of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers , besides the specialized jurisprudence references.
On this occasion, HE the Minister Dr. Al-Mohannadi stressed the importance of launching the new version of the Qatari Legal Portal to enrich the legislative environment of the country with a national legislations that meet the legal and legislative needs of government institutions and the private sector. He added that it is a window of Qatari jurisprudence to the outside world, which would contribute to strengthening the national legal system in light of the State's legal expertise.
HE the Minister referred legislative renaissance witnessed by the country which has become a source of admiration and an example to be followed, a matter which made several parties seek to benefit from the country's expertise in the legal field, stressing that this portal will put the country experience and legal potential to all.
HE the Minister of Justice called on the legal authorities to benefit from this portal and enrich it with proposals, ideas and opinions that serve the national legislative system and contribute to promoting the legal work.
