Domestic and overseas journalists are welcome to cover events commemorating the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II in Beijing next month, the event's publicity team said on Monday.
Grand celebrations will be held in Beijing on Sept. 2 and 3 to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people's war against Japanese aggression and the world's anti-Fascist war, a statement from the organizers said.
Overseas journalists who wish to cover the event should register on reg.kzjn70.cn from Aug. 3 to 18, the statement said.
The statement said a press center will be set up in Beijing during the celebrations to provide information services for domestic and overseas reporters.
China announced plans to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII in June. The country will invite foreign militaries to participate in a parade on Sept. 3 in Beijing.
President Xi Jinping will speak at the event. Representatives of veterans, civilians who supported the army during the war and relatives of the fallen will also take part in the parade.
