The Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS) will organize the 24th Gulf competition of the Holy Quran and hadith from Sept 24-29, Chairman of PAYS Faisal Al-Jazzaf said. He added in a press release that he trusts the capabilities of the organizers of this event that gathers participants from the Gulf region. Al-Jazzaf praised the efforts exerted by the organizing committee, headed by the General Director for youth affairs in PAYS Jassem Yaqoub. Yaqoub said that the committee started its preparations early. The committee received the judges, and coordinated with the governmental bodies participating in the event, namely the Ministry of Information presented by Kuwait TV and radio, in addition to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and a number of non-governmental societies and media.
