A special ceremony will be held on Monday at the Sound and Light Theater in the Pyramids area.
The ceremony will be organized by the central department of archaeological sites in Cairo and Giza.
It is part of celebrations marking the inauguration of the New Suez Canal, slated for August 6, said head of the department Kamal Wahid in statements to MENA on Saturday.
The governor of Giza and a number of ministers and ambassadors, as well as public figures, will attend the ceremony on Monday.
Egyptian flags will be placed at the entrance to the Pyramids area, as well as banners reading: "Suez Canal, Egypt's gift to the world", Wahid said.
This is meant to tell tourists about the historic event, he noted.
A projector showing the count down for the big day will also be placed in the Pyramids area, Wahid added.
