SHARJAH - WAM

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, toured the Paris International Book Fair 2016 last night at the end of his visit to France.

Sheikh Sultan was received at the venue of the Book Fair at the Paris expo Porte de Versailles by Mudhid Hareb Al Khaili, UAE Ambassador to France, and other officials and diplomats.

Sheikh Sultan visited the Sharjah Pavilion at the Paris Book Fair and was briefed by the officials about the publications on display, including new releases by the Sharjah Department of Culture and Information and other publishing houses such as Al Qasimi, Kalmat, and Culture Without Borders.

Sheikh Sultan also opened the Saudi Pavilion which features a large group of publishing houses, led by the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex.

The Sharjah Book Authority is organising, on the sidelines of the Book Fair, a workshop on Arabic calligraphy.
