Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi met here Wednesday with Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who is now visiting Iraq to participate in the ministerial meeting of the sixth session of the joint higher committee between Iraq and Kuwait.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to consolidate and strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields, and enhance cooperation and coordination in the overall issues of common concern, as well as latest developments on the regional and international arenas.
The Iraqi Premier lauded Kuwait's relentless support to his country, especially regarding Iraq's efforts to maintain security and stability. He also praised the current level of close and firm relations between Kuwait and Iraq in all fields.
For his part, the Kuwaiti minister reaffirmed Kuwait's unshakable position based on backing Iraq's security and stability. Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah arrived in Baghdad earlier today to lead Kuwait's delegation to the joint ministerial committee meeting
