The First Vice-President and National Prime Minister, General, Bakri Hassan Saleh met, Sunday, at his office, in the Council of Ministers, the Australian Ambassador to Sudan, Nil Hopkins in the presence of Foreign Minister, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour .
The Australian diplomat said in a press statement that the meeting discussed the bilateral relations and means for developing them further, referring to the existing cooperation between the two countries in mining and agricultural technology .
He has expressed pleasure over the opening of a Sudanese embassy in Australia, explaining that the step will strengthen the cooperation relations between the two countries.
He has pointed out that a number of the representatives Australian companies will visit Sudan during the coming period to review investment opportunities following the revocation of the US sanctions imposed on Sudan.
