US Secretary of Defense James Mattis conferred with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Zayed al-Nuhayyan on cooperation between the two countries in the military and defense fields and means of pushing them forward, Al-Hurra News TV channel reported.
The two sides also addresses means of achieving security and standing against threats undermining peace in the Middle East region.
The US defense secretary's visit to UAE is the first to a Middle East country since he assumed office in succession of his predecessor Ashton Carter.
